Its August and the Ontario bass fishing has been great, finding the bass in about 12 feet of water in the weeds. Its been really warm and lots of calm days with not a ripple on the water and we’ve found the smallmouth bass to be hiding in the shade of the tall cabbage weeds just waiting for a lure to come by. They’ve been hitting on minnow type soft baits or the old faithful, a wobble jig and leech. They just can’t turn down those leeches!!
